General Buying Practices and Sustainability Efforts:

The Red Blazer makes great efforts to buy equipment and products that help reduce waste while supporting green technologies, green companies and a sustainable future. We make a conscious effort to buy local New Hampshire products when available and look for sustainable sources for purchasing goods and services locally. Buying local products is a responsible practice as it eliminates the need to transport goods from long distances. This is not always feasible, but it is our policy to look for these products and services and incorporate them into our buying program.

We have already banned the use of Styrofoam products as well as other packaging materials made of non-biodegradable materials. We try not to buy any products that use dangerous chemicals in the manufacturing process. We also train staff to closely follow the instructions on our cleaning products and not use any of these products wastefully or in a fashion that is inconsistent with the product's use.
